1st Great Western Autojumble features ‘Best in the West'

Royal Bath and West Show Ground

Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 February 2010.

Welcome to our first classic car event for 2010!

  • See nine expert restorers at work click here
  • Largest autojumble in the west
  • Special reserved area for private sellers of real autojumble
  • 70,000 square foot, three huge halls and 250 different stands
  • Auction by CHARTERHOUSE

We are delighted to invite you to the 1st Great Western Autojumble, which will showcase the skills of leading regional restorers, and offer you all the parts, spares and gadgets you will need, within a massive indoor autojumble.

The centrepiece is a special display in the main hall, featuring the region's leading nine vehicle restorers. This ‘Best of the West' display will feature fully restored vehicles and ongoing projects with the experts who will show visitors exactly how much can be achieved through highly skilled professional work.

The 1st Great Western Autojumble will also feature the region's largest autojumble sale, with two huge halls full of stalls and a classic car boot area.

Following requests from visitors, we have also set up a special reserved area for private sellers of real autojumble. This area will be filled by first-time autojumblers, who want to move on the spares that have been blocking up their garages and sheds.

Show organiser, Nigel Stevens, says that the region's largest indoor autojumble has been added to the annual classic car event schedule to fill the gap caused by the Bristol Classic Car Show's permanent move to May.

"We have always had an autojumble element to all of our shows, and it has always proved a great success," he says.

"With a growing demand for cost-effective classic car parts and accessories, a dedicated autojumble like this will enable enthusiasts of all levels of expertise to pick up everything they need and keep them supplied during the winter when many cars are being both restored and serviced."

The 1st Great Western Autojumble will cover a massive 70,000 square foot over three huge halls and features more than 250 different stands.

Entry will cost £6 on the door, but advance tickets are available on this website for only £4. Quote code PR6 when required.

For further details on trade stands, email info@bccsl.co.uk or call 0117 907 1000.

The entry to the show and auction explained

The events organised by The Bristol Classic Car Show Ltd are run alongside an auction run by Charterhouse Auctions of Sherborne. When you buy an entry ticket to the show you get access to all areas of the show except the auction area. Entry to the auction area is by catalogue only and this is levied and controlled by Charterhouse Auctions. In purchasing a catalogue price £11 via this web site (£14 on the day) you will gain admittance to the auction area for 2 people on both the viewing day and sale day. Charterhouse has also decided to allow visitors to view the auction area on the view day only without a catalogue .

As catalogues are sold on a first come first served basis we are giving visitors who book tickets in advance the opportunity to purchase the catalogue at the same time, however we would point out that we are acting as selling agents only on behalf of Charterhouse. The auction catalogue will be posted out by Charterhouse about 7 days before the auction and any queries regarding delivery of the catalogue should be directed to them at 01935 812277 or enquiries@charterhouse-auctions.co.uk

Traditionally, the first major event in the annual classic car calendar is the Footman James Bristol Classic Car Show. The 2009 event was moved from February to May because of snowfall. This new date was well received by visitors, car clubs, exhibitors and traders alike, so we will be holding the event permanently in May.

31st Footman James Bristol Classic Car Show (1-2 May)
The highlight of our annual calendar will be the UK’s longest running classic car show. The 31st Footman James Bristol Classic Car Show is taking place on the Saturday and Sunday of the May Day weekend (1-2 May). Visitors can expect to see around 200 cars on display indoors, together with other exhibitors, an autojumble and on-site auction. The hugely popular classic car park will have around 1000 cars on display each day. We also hope to make a feature of outdoor attractions, including a arket square area and a major car boot sale of autojumble.

The 10th Footman James Autumn Restoration Show
This will be held in November and details will be announced later in 2010. However, it is a landmark show, so there will be some cake, bottles of pop and a few surprises...

All that is left for us to say is thank you for your support, we hope you enjoyed our shows during 2009, and look forward to welcoming you back in 2010.

As usual, should you have any feedback to make the events a better experience for veryone, please let us know. To book a stand for any of the 2010 shows please contact 0117 907 1000 or email info@bccsl.co.uk.
